Always good food. But very poor customer service. I called to let them know that they had forgotten the sauces for our meat dishes. I was met with rudeness and disbelief. Hope your order is right or you might get a taste of their so called customer service.

Our meal was so deliceous. The wonton soup was one of the best Ive ever had. The food tasted very fresh, reasonably priced and quick service.Looking forward to future visits.

Idk about this place. I love Chinese food. I've had tried this place out 4 maybe 5 times now & it was good. But lately the last 2 times I always feel sick to my stomach. Good food for a good price but now I won't be able to try this place out again due to how I always feel sick afterwards..

Good option when in a hurry

I am not thrilled with Chef Wok but it is nice when you are in a real hurry. They are very quick to get your order out. Always hot & fresh. My only & major complaint is that the flavour is lacking. Sometimes I think I could make better at home if I gave it a try. We always get the combos though so maybe I need to try another dish to more accurately rate their food. I really like asian veggies & most of the combos are deep fried. The ribs are usually dried out & the rice is lacking. Very friendly people & like I mentioned before, very fast service if you're starving :D

Cheff wok has one of the healthiest and tasty chinesse food I have ever tried. Even it is only for take-out, they service is amazing, quick, friendly and clean. Try it!

The Best Chinese food around

What can I say Chef Wok has the best Chinese around and not by a little by a mile. They are very reasonably priced and they take pride in there food, if somethings not 100% they fix it and then some. My brother had them cater his wedding and what a great job the owner herself delivered the food and helped set up I can't say enough good stuff about them.

We are only sorry you can't eat in, but the quality food and extremely courteous service keep us coming back whenever possible . . . not easy as we live a good distance away. Luckily friends in Owen Sound sometimes host or even deliver. Don't miss the honey garlic boneless chicken!

the best and I think I know

Probably the best chinese food I've had in years. besides that the owners are friendly and courteous. The only trouble is I live in Owen Sound and did not no what I was missing until I visited them for the first time. Forget the Grey/Bruce, Chef Wok's meals are better than anything I've tried in Toronto and other locations. Now I'm hooked! Darryl Choronzey..Going Fishing TV

Did not honour store hours

The food here is exceptional, but I was extremely disappointed to find that they do not answer the phone past a certain time, even though they were open. My experience: Called at 9:30...they were open until 10pm, and NOONE answered the phone..continuously We were not looking for delivery, just wishing to place an order for pick up. Most other "take-out" food establishments will take orders until the minute before close.

The establishment is very clean and the food fresh and hot. Overall, the food has the best flavour than any other Chinese food establishment in the area; in fact, one taste and you can identify that it came from Chef's Wok. I have been a satisfied customer for more than ten years, and I wish them continued success with their tried and true formula providing fresh and tasty food and friendly service.

Don’t be put off by the unprepossessing Quonset hut, unpaved driveway with pretensions of becoming a parking lot, the rural discard dump in the orchard at the rear, an unfinished interior all of which greet you. The warmth of the welcome, the excellent service and generally very good food will quickly dispel any doubts about why this unique restaurant, in the proverbial “middle of nowhere”, has been a food draw for years. The menu (better organised on their website‎) is physically scattered on an unco-ordinated myriad of small, sponsored blackboards that cover one wall and the bar area and takes some time to read and digest lest one miss something. Not all of the exotic meats for which this restaurant is noted will be available on any one night (no kangaroo or crocodile yesterday) but there will enough to make your selection adventurous. In addition to this untraditional fare, there are lots of tried and true items from farm and field, lake and ocean. And, with a few mis-steps, it’s really good stuff! The appetizers, for once of proper appetizer size and not a “meal-for-six” as at some restaurants were the lesser in quality. While the mussels got a 7/10, the scallops were overcooked and stringy; the garlic bread was nice but the $13 alligator strips were just ok, rather undistinguished and the accompanying plum sauce was bottle-bland. Entrees were the strength however. The tasty and meaty double lamb shanks were heartily demolished, the seafood bake scrumptious but needed a little kick. The two of us who had the ostrich medallion raved about the tender, perfectly cooked, flavourful, substantial meat, the dark, pungent gravy and the unique stir-fry veggie mix. The crowning glory of my meal though, was a huge, decadently dynamic, full-on, loaded, double-baked potato…$4 extra and worth every cent. Desserts are locally made with a varied selection, the wine list bare bones but adequate (2 reds, 2 whites). A nice quaffy surprise awaits with the, unusual for this part of the world, rich, full-bodied Granville Island ale on tap, redolent of the glories of the west coast, Vancouver style. Overall, certainly not cheap and a drive from most anywhere (I’m an hour and a half away) but worth the dollars and the miles. And a return visit. Check the website for days and hours of operation.
