What a beautiful get away. If you come to Vancouver Island to experience the West Coast and not some stuffy hotel room this is the place to be. It has waterfront river access and friendly West Coast welcome with gift baskets and personable service. The rooms were lovely. You can use the BBQ and the wharf. You can cook inside or outside and save on food costs. Great for families or friends or just to meet people in the outdoor areas if you want. I would love to come back with friends again.

It was a totally decent place, everyone was really friendly. We were travelling (moving) with cats and I smuggled my kitties in and they kind of turned a blind eye. Besides that everything was clean and professional. You always know what to expect with this chain - reasonable price, clean, everything works. I'd stay here again if I had to stay in Nanaimo and just wanted a good place to sleep (as opposed to a Bed and Breakfast or something).

I give it five stars based upon what it is - a clean, safe, and most importantly, cheap place to stay downtown Vancouver. It is exactly what it purports to be. The rooms were almost funny they were so small but it had what you needed and nothing was scuzzy. Share it with a friend and it is the same price as a hostel. Everyone was friendly.

This hotel is pure luxury.. great location ann great value for money. Our double room was huge, comfortable and clean. Only the toilet was a tiny, but clean adn new.

I have family that comes to visit who are unable to stay with us so we usually put them up at the Travelodge. The rates are fare and the staff are always so helpful. The Inn at Laurel Pointe is spectacular to say the least. The property is located between downtown and james bay right on the waterfront. I have attended many weddings here and you really cannot beat the picturesque scenery from outside the dining hall. Watch the sunset over the mountains from your delux room while enjoying a glass of champagne. This property is definitely in my top 3 for Victoria. Whether you are a local or visiting you will not regret spending an evening here.

My boyfriend and I got off the plane, went here because it was recommened to us and they had room available at a decent cost...not only did they have a room which we could afford, but they upgraded to an apartment-style hotel (with a full kitchen) for no extra charge! Thank you. We loved our stay. The room was clean and the hotel is trying to be environmentally friendly, which I appreciate! The hotel puts a hold on your credit card just to ensure that you don't smoke in your room or steal towels (:-P), but it was uplifted as soon as we checked out.

I would recommend staying at the Sand Castle Inn to anyone who wants to experience the true Parksville. This place is close to the beach and is walking distance to the centre of town. The staff is very friendly and is willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a good one. I will definatly stay at the Sand Castle Inn again next summer.

You can generally get a good meal at the T&C coffee shop. We have gone there for years, so this review covers many different meals and many different visits. We always go back there; and sometimes they have an oustantding Sunday Brunch in their dining room.
