I have been to Kawa several times since moving to the area and have also ordered takeout from kawa and it has been nothing but delicious. The restaurant is super cute, it almost feels like you are eating in your own kitchen, The wait staff are super friendly, helpful and quick. My take-out experiences have been jsut as wonderful and the food is ALWAYS fresh. I will never go to another sushi restaurant other than kawa, it's that amazing. This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Lire plus

This is such a comfy cozy place, and has free wireless internet access. I come here a lot for coffee, serve myself, stand at the counter to pay, and read the paper while I sit right by the window to drink it. I ate there once, but I can't remember what I had. LOVE this place! The food is always fantastic, the 'atmosphere' is Euro-hip, "are we in in Belgium, Berlin or London Soho??" SO not typical Guelph. The staff don't start with a Big Box "hi my name is ..." and frankly, I'm happier to know that when they do stop to chat (it's a busy place sometimes and they're pro) it's an honest conversation.
