This location of Discount Car & Truck Rental was fabulous. The vehicle was ready on time, Sean took his time going over the vehicle with me before handing over the keys. I also had the pleasure of dealing with the manager Tony. Service was top-notch, Id recommend this location. Maybe there has been a staff turnover since the 1-star reviews that were posted. I had no issues with truck drop off / damage & I did drop off the cargo van after hours.

Easy to use! Since experiencing a fire, I have rented from Akmal four times in the past six weeks: a cube truck twice and a cargo van twice. The trucks were in good condition. Communications have been great! I appreciate the service that I have received. I find the experience less bureaucratic than the big name brands and pricing is good. We have had no problems with shifts in timing. I like Akmal's commitment to customer service!! Would definitely recommend to others.

I always rent from this location for business and leisure and Sohaib makes it easy for me from start to finish. He is incredibly helpful, always reasonable on from a pricing standpoint, and has never failed me, no matter how unique my rental requirements are. They will continue to get my service for years to come.

The truck itself was excellent - 5/5. Clean, fuel efficient (for a truck), ran well.
The cost was excellent - 5/5. The truck for the day, PLUS mileage from Burlington-Grimsby-Burlington, PLUS gas, PLUS taxes was under $90.
The service was OK - 3/5. On booking the truck, I did have to wait inside for a few minutes (no customers were in the store) until I asked someone outside for help (and even then they told me to go back inside because there should be someone there).

The people at the Evans and Kipling location are very friendly and helpful. I spoke with a young lady on the phone to speak about my reservation and she was knowledgeable and made good suggestions.
When I was unable to get my USB 12V charger to function properly she located one for me to use temporarily. Only drawback was some trash was found in the compartments.
By far one of the best locations in the city. The work with you.

Once again I have need of a truck rental. Last year I approached Cheryl McRoberts at the 170 Barton St E office and she went over and above my expectations! I was totally blown away at the timely, efficient and exceptional honesty she handled my truck rental start to finish. She completely took all of my worries away and I was able to concentrate on my business. Five star service all around! The staff, the prices, the service is the best in town! Every time I have rented the car from them, it was in spotless condition, I never had to wait for long to finish all the paperwork and the staff is always super friendly. These guys are all amazing!!!! My car broke down in the east end during my anniversary of all days. I called CAA and got it towed. Enterprise picked me up at my house in Etobicoke they were about to close and stayed open later just to help us out in our dire time of need. We got a rental, They gave us an amazing deal as always and we made it back downtown just in time for our dinner reservation :-)
