Went to Romby's after I heard that it had been taken over by new owners. They've really started to clean the place up, new flooring and whole new clientele.There was 4 in our group. My boyfriend and I ordered the pulled pork nachos with jalapenos and cheese and potato skins - the best skins I've EVER eaten. Our friends had the brisket sandwich and the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which they said was awesome. Will definitely be going back for dinner again. We ended up staying a lot longer than we planned as the band was just about to set up so we stayed and had a really great night. The bartenders are excellent. Quick and friendly service. Went for their second night of opening. loved the menu selection. You could order different sizes of appetizers and meals. Had the Crab cakes and Black cod, my husband had the mushroom soup and steak, the food was flawless, the service was quick and attentive. They were incredibly kind and more helpful than I deserved as a customer. I have a feeling they treat everyone with not just respect but they likely go above and beyond for all of their customers. My husband and I are so lucky there is a restaurant in Fonthill of the calibre of Zest. It is as good as a "Toronto" fine dining. The service is wonderful from the time you enter the front door, and until you leave. There have been times I've been thrilled with the menu, and other times not so much, but still be able to find something that pleased me well. My only criticism, people who have Celiac disease really get left sitting by the curb. Although at Zest they make an effort for those of us who need a gluten free dinner, other steps could be taken. If there are appetizers that are served with bread, rice crackers could be substituted for gluten free diners. Also, there is a wonderful gluten free bakery in Chipawa, that makes wonder bread and glutten free cakes.They even deliver to Fonthill. I just wish more restaurants would educate themselves in gluten free dining. It's not rocket science, and more people by the day are being diagnosed. When my husband and I want to celebrate, we go to Zest. I'm thinking of holding our 25th Anniversary Party at Zest, and inviting 30 of our friends. I know, Zest would not let us down. Lire plus

I live in Fonthill and can walk to the Lazy Loon! One of my favourite restaurants for a quick meal after a long day. Enough variety on the menu to satisfy everyone and the service is usually top notch! If there are any issues, you can always speak to a floor manager and get it resolved. My wife and I both now love "The Duck". I had the pizza and wings and I was not disappointed. They are both easily the beat I've ever eaten this side of the border. The wings are large and crispy and the pizza has a nice thin crust and tons of cheesy goodness. My wife had the Blue Cheese Burger and when it arrived we both marveled at how massive the homemade patty was. She also couldn't stop commenting on how great the homemade blue cheese sauce and handcut fries were. The service was great (the waitress was hilarious and had us both in stitches) and they we're also showing the hockey game on a huge TV in HD! I would highly recommend this fine and historied establishment to anyone looking for exceptional food at a great price. Lire plus

My cousin had been there and wanted me to step in, since then we have had food 3-4 times. the owners are friendly and from the number of take outs you can see that most are repeats. Every one of the staff members were very courteous and attentive. My daughter had her newborn son strapped to her chest in a wrap and many staff members stopped by to see our 6 week old grandson. The manager on duty even stopped to ask how everything was. The food and service was wonderful. The food never fails to please. We also ordered takeout recently with chicken parm meal for 4. My first visit to The Feathery was almost 4 years ago, along with my brother and sister in law, whom live in St. Catharines. Everytime I come back for a visit we find our selves back dining there. However, my experiences there this past week were a hit and miss on service. Last night we actually asked to have our server changed as the waitress that was assigned to us us terrible. We were luck to have Lucinda, whom served us several times this week, sometimes twice a day......yes my family lives close.
