Hands down the best place to grab a bite and a cold one in Midland. Patio right on the water and excellent service as well as Live Entertainment - what's not to love! I spend most weekends in Collingwood. I've eaten in many restaurants in the area, but haven't been to the Post in a while. The last time I was there was under the old ownership and couldn't believe how bland the food was, and how dirty and unkept the restaurant was. I counted no less than 5 dead flies on the window sills. I previously had the baked penne carbonara and it had no flavour. The waiter told me they used 2 % milk instead of cream ! I heard there were new owners and decided to give it a try last week with my husband and two friends. The place was spotless (and no dead flies !), service incredible and one of the best meals we've all had in a while. We especially loved the curry and halibut & chips, and pasta. Amazing desserts ! Change did Mom's good. Not sure who the new owners are, but we only went back because we heard the old ones were gone. The biggest difference, these people care, my breakfast was fast, hot, and very good. I went to college up the road, and after being treated poorly repeatedly by the previous owners, I said I would never go back. Well, am I ever glad I did.
