They dont skimp on the meat and they buy the best cuts. The order is exactly what you tell them it should be. As always you come out full. Waitress was gorgeous and had a nice body. The wine was really not that expensive. The food itself added up tho. The wait was a little long tho.

I absolutely love this place! Although the atmosphere of this restaurant is rather dark, gloomy, and sketchy, they have one of the best steaks and lobster in town.
Usually we order bbq ribs and potato fries for appetizers.
These appetizers are usually mediocre.
As for the entree we always order the rib eye steak as well as 2lb-4lb lobster.
The rib eye steak at House of chan is one of the best steaks I have ever had. The steak at House of Chan melts in your mouth as you eat it. This type of steak should only be eaten if you enjoy the natural taste of steak, and are expecting no additional added flavours.
The lobster is usually just as good as the steak. They offer you a rich butter as a dip. I really enjoy this dish as well.

There is a huge difference between a family owned restaraunt and a box shop. If you want bagged meat and pre portioned specials then do not go here. My family and friends have been coming here for upwards of 10 years. Since we have been coming, they have had the same 2 chefs, same owners, and same front house staff, we always know that our experience will be fantastic. They are always willing to accommodate (and remember ) my families various likes and dislikes, seating us at our favorite table, and make us feel like we are truly welcome. The food is hot, homemade, traditional, delicious and worth every penny. The service is knowledgeable, delightful, and efficient.
My family, guests and I love this place and we love to support a family owned business. This is a place where you can tell people actually care, consistently.

Decor was GORGEOUS, staff super friendly and efficient. One of our apps was not up to snuff so we returned and got another that was AMAZING. Everything else followed suit. Rib steak was the best I ever had. Cheesecake was divine. We would DEFINITELY go back.

After knowing the great experience in Toronto at Wildfire we are so glad that Oshawa has opened this upscale steakhouse. There is no other place to go for a 1st class meal in Durham and we recently celebrated my fathers 90th in their party room. Our order took an hour to reach us but it was peak time on a Saturday night. The food and service was top notch and the complimentary Birthday treat was lovely. The staff member who Pursued us to the parking lot with our forgotten bottle of wine was over and above and appreciated. This is why we keep coming back.

Very cool little up-scale "hole in the wall" to hit after a show for some good wines by the glass, and a little to munch (great cheese plates) etc. It has a slick, hip, modern vibe/atmosphere going for it.... not too bright, not to dark... We did not do the full dinner, but would def go back.

If you are looking for a spot to hang with your friends and watch the game then you definitely need to hit up Whitby St.Louis. They pride themselves on their staff as well as ensuring that any major game that is playing is on every TV. This means hockey, baseball, football, UFC, golf- you name it they have it. Oh and the wings, fries and garlic dip is delicious. My personal favorite is the Hot n Honey wing sauce or the Suicide wing sauce. I would suggest going on Tuesday for wing night, or on Thurs or Fri which is their busiest nights. They have a huge regular following from 3pm to 5:30pm so if you are looking for some company at the bar, this is the time to go!
