The Brick

I had a less than two year old stackable dryer, with warrantee, that they couldn't get parts for. The insurance company said that they would refund what I paid, but only as a Brick store credit and dryers have since doubled in price. To add insult to injury, a salesman told me that I had to buy a new washer also because I couldn't stack different makes. The same salesman basically said it was my own fault because the make was uncommon, forgetting that I bought if from that store! Bye bye Brick.

Be careful of the Bricks warranty programs. Purchased a full coverage warranty on furniture for $500, furniture just over one year old and seats are sagging. The store manager refused to honor the warranty citing we misunderstood the salesperson explanation of the warranty.

Extended Warranty cash back not honoured, hidden conditions not disclosed in person, over the phone and by email with purchase receipt. When asked why I wasn’t informed they print a new copy with the conditions on the back, and told me to read the fine print. Sad the friendly sales people never shared that part. I went to make a purchase that day with my warranty cash back and was offered warranty again, also with no disclosure about the hidden conditions. Only the refund if not used.

Please be advised of the brick pocketing warranty money and then not honouring the warranty. They are selling warranties and trying to double dip by saying it is blended with the manufacture. Please see attached there policy quoting that they will sell you a warranty if not offered through the manufacture. All tv’s carry a 1 year manufacture warranty. Buyers beware.
